First Post!

Welcome to my site! I decided to add a tab for blogging because I REALLY MISS LONG-FORM BLOGGING. I miss reading people's stories and musings. If your Instagram stories had walls of text on them, you bet I'd hold it to read ALL of them (Unless of course if the font was too small). I miss having the attention span to read, before all the short form content came along and fried my brain.

For my first post I think I just want to let you all know that I'm new to this online art shop venture and am figuring things out as I go. I get overwhelmed and if I wait to be fully "ready" to launch this, I fear it may never happen. So for things like logistics and shipping, I hope you have the patience to bear with me as I try to deal with it as a one person team.

To launch my art shop I'm releasing all my original paintings from my "Flora/Fauna" series and two standalone pieces - "Yin Yang" and "Red Poppies". All painted with acrylic on canvas. These were all painted this year (2025) when I was in a sort of painting frenzy after a big move across states. I quit my office job and became a stay-at-home-mum. I've always wanted to have the time to focus on making art.

The series focuses on how the flora and fauna around us intertwines and resembles each other. Because everything is connected, and cannot exist without the other. It was fun coming up with ways to incorporate or transform florals into the fauna that we see in our everyday lives. I would also like to create more nature themed works in the future.
